Translated from dutch : “The first acquaintance with Calmel & Joseph was a striking Picpoul de Pinet. This one and only Languedoc white appellation is the epitome of often somewhat boring wines, but Calmel & Joseph’s Picpoul was fresh, aromatic and of great length.”
Earlier this year we organised a blind tasting pitting top Languedoc-Roussillon wines (including our own La Madone 2017) against well-known producers from the Southern Rhône (including Châteauneuf-du-Pape).
