La Pointe
This first vintage of our “La Pointe” is a gorgeous ruby red. The nose is delightfully spicy with black pepper, curry and paprika mingling with fruity pomegranate and redcurrant aromas, finishing on smoky, toasted notes and a hint of dried leaf. In the mouth it has the clean tautness of an altitude wine. We find the same fruity, spicy character on the first palate, with laurel, nutmeg, black pepper, and strawberry tree fruit, developing in complexity on the finish with more smoky notes, underbrush, and cigar tobacco leaf. A magnificent wine from the Corbières hills that upturns old ideas about this oft-misjudged appellation. One to discover!
