Wine Enthusiast Importer Connection – La Madone 2018
Very pleased with the outcome of the Wine Enthusiast Importer Connection, a program designed to make the connection between importers and producers easier. We submitted our flagship wine La Madone 2018 (an AOP Corbières blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah) and it really hit the spot with the Wine Enthusiast tasting team: “….hints of leather, damp tree bark, old tea leaves, cranberry and pomegranate seed. The full body nicely frames its high alcohol with good acidic snap and layers of velvety tannins. Long and caressing on the finish, this wine has the concentration and complexity to benefit from more time in the bottle.”
NYC-based wine trade folks can taste this and other Calmel & Joseph wines at the Maison de la Région Occitanie event this week (Monday March 14 – Wednesday March 16, 2022).
